Thank goodness for fences! Perfect places for birds and other creatures, not only to perch, but also to pose for the camera.

This squirrel is sitting on “the Beaufort Fence,” quite common in the historic part of town. Its a quirky variation on the ordinary picket fence, forming an up-and-down pattern that resembles a wave.
